After this season, he has 2 years left on the deal. Even with Zion, Ingram not re-signing and CJ aging could close our window faster than expected.

It would be unprecedented for this franchise if he did and I think we need to do everything in our power to make sure it happens, but it's still going to be tough.

Why would it be tough to resign him?

I'll take Pels over the field but it's certainly no guarantee.

This is why this year is a contending year and we need to push hard for upgrades that make sense for us now for this postseason run and not wait it out to see what we have either this squad.

We've never had a player of his caliber choose to sign his 2nd extension/3rd contract with us.

Not sure if "tough" is the right word but it's not something I'm just assuming BI will absolutely do.

I truly believe some of y'all just don't know how to function without being miserable. We having this great fun season and some of y'all really taking about 2 years away about BI not resigning when dude has been nothing but happy here and the leader of one of the best young cores in the NBA with a lot of draft assets to help build around. Some of yall need to get over your chicken little attitudes.

I think he plays most of the rest of his career here and eventually becomes the Pels leading (or second leading) scorer all time.

Front Office if kept in tact seems to have a very strong relationship with Brandon. However, we might reach a point where bonuses are factored in for his next deal, based on availability.

Played 40% of the games last season and 20% this season.
Unless something changes, he may not be worth resigning due to his unreliability.

Stop. That's like saying we shouldn't have given Zion the max.

Big time free agents aren't lining up to come here, we have to re-sign BI.

If he misses the rest of this season, he will have played 20% games played over 2 years. That is not reliable.
And Zion playing 40 games a year, if he does that, is not reliable either.
114 or 222?

Because I'm bored of the "Does BI have turf toe or not" threads and it's a different discussion point.

When is it ok to bring up, gatekeeper?

Weight clause helped but the guy has got to get on the court.
TBD in a couple more weeks if we have another mysterious lengthy injury going on again. BI taking the front line for this season right now.
