Okay obviously we all know Devonte sucks, but just how bad has he been?

2021-2022:
36.3% FG and 34.1% from 3
2022-2023:
35.6% FG and 32.6% from 3

So the full seasons are horrific as is, but then we look at the last 22 games (over half the season)
28.7% FG and 19.7% from 3

If you shoot 80% of your shots from 3 and shoot steadily damn near 30% or below, AND suck arse at defense, I simply don’t understand how you get minutes even if BI, Herb, Zion are out. I’d rather Kira, Seabron, or even fkn Garrett Temple at this point. This thread may be pointless, sure, but the point is Devonte SUCKS and it baffles me more and more every game

He's actually shooting 34.9% from the field and 32.2% from 3. Scary part is... His numbers and percentage is consistently trending downward. I'm not even sure why he's so bad. We have been running plays for him to get him to his spots for favorable looks. It's really ugly watching him try to buy a shot.

He has managed to make himself a huge negative in trade value.

Sucks, but we will have to give up assets to get off his contract

Yet willie will keep playing him over Kira. I don’t expect Kira to be great but at least there’s some development incentive to giving him minutes. Plus he’s played solid so far and with confidence since returning

Not worth giving up assets

Just let him get to where he’s an expiring and then move him

We already pissed assets away multiple times (including the trade to get Graham)

Not a fan of doing it again

This board told me Graham was Lonzo, but with a cheaper price tag. I remember people posting their identical stats lol.

Believe it or not there are still people defending him on here. I'm starting to wonder if they're related to him.

Inconvenient for Graham, Trey, Herb, and Jose to all regress on offense

Hate it for him, because he’s a good teammate with a good attitude. But yeah he’s been playing bad.

contender for top 10 bad deals ever.
washed for a first.
others in the hall of gm shame:
gsw dealt the Shawn Kemp pick (mid round) to seattle for alton lister when lister was washed due to chronic butt muscle injury.
gsw has several all time bad deals. #1 probably mchale + the chief for joe barry carrol.

I don’t understand how he can be worse than last year. The just cannot shoot. Imagine if we had an actual sharpshooter getting his minutes, like a buddy hield or Luke kennard

I vividly remember posters on this board trying to positively spin his signing

Devonte's numbers were much better when Zion was healthy, because he got more wide-open shots. Now, he's forcing up more contested shots, and his numbers are coming down. The good news is that he's really worked on his defense, so that he's not a huge negative on days when his shot isn't falling.

Devonte is neither as much of an asset people have pretended that he is, nor is he as big of a problem as some in this thread are suggesting he is.

When Zion is back on the court, Graham will again look like a good player for us.

He gets regular open looks also. For a person who is a shooter, he unfortunately sucks at shooting. His defense has not been that much of a negative from my eyes but not sure what the advanced stats say.
