Two under the radar guys who could be low risk, high reward options at the 5
Drew Eubanks- I think he fits what we need
LINK
Jay Huff 7'1 G League defensive player of the year
LINK
We don't need a big name center, we need guys who can rim protect and rim run. Both are free agents and either would be a good "tweak" to the roster

Eubanks doesn't help us on D. He's more like Willie imo. Decent offensive game but can't defend.

Herb & Trey filled that role more than anyone. I'm not sure what competent backup is out there that we can realistically get AND adds 4-6 more wins than Herb/Trey combo.
The issue with both of them is they need more junk in the trunk to bang with some of the bigger and more athletic 4s.
There are guys out there that could fill that role because it is really a fairly specific issue and we just need a decent backup level player to supplement more beef when Herb/Naji/Trey/BI get overmatched, and/or for situations where our 5 needs a buddy to help control the backside/paint (since we regularly put them on an island inside this season).
Personally I think that role is significantly easier to find than an affordable replacement for JV/Larry that upgrades that group.
IMO the Pels should be looking for a guy that is 6’8”-6-11” that is over 230lbs, and preferably can shoot a bit…as always, the younger and more athletic the better.
On the cheap end, with Liddell the Pels could have some help, but draft a guy like Kris Murray, and try to pickup a flyer on a guy like Trendon Wafford and maybe the Pels have a solution without spending a fortune.

Here's a clip of Seabron assists in the GLeague LINK
I do question if some of these passes would be stolen at the NBA level, but I like that he seems to look for the pass once a double team starts to cut him off. Willie isn't playing Kira with CJ and maybe not Jose, so I'm hoping Seabron can fill that penetration/creation gap after they move Kira, which they need to do if Willie isn't going to play him.

I think the biggest needs are a bench 3 & D guy that can play the 2 and the 3 so we can keep Naji playing the 3 or small 4 position off the bench like he did this year. He did well in that role. Then I would love a good backup 4/5 that can protect the rim and shoot. I expect Jaxon, Willy, Richardson and Temple all to be gone so we have at least 4 spots to fill. I believe Liddell and Seabron will take two of those spots at the back of the bench as cheap rookie deal guys. Larry will still be our backup 5 and that’s good. Peopke were really hard on him and CJ all year but they both played through pretty bad injuries because Zion and BI were out. Larry basically played on 1 leg this year as well as a bad shoulder and you didn’t see his normal bounce in his step. That will be back next year along with a better and healthy CJ. If Zion will truly get his arse on the court this coming season we can be a top team and make a championship run but it’s all on a kid’s shoulders that isn’t ready to handle it
