Giannis is a superstar. You can’t count out teams with superstars. If he goes down or leave, then I see them being done

Problem is that Giannis can read the room and has said, between the lines, he wants to stay *as long as he can compete*.

Having $50m in dead money due to Dames having a torn Achilles isn’t competing.

All you need to look at is the past 3 seasons.

3 1st round exits.
2025 vs Indiana - 4-1
2024 vs Indiana - 4-2
2023 vs Miami - 4-1

There roster is worst and an their core guys are getting older. It's pretty bleak if you're Gianni's right now.

D.Murray/J. Murray/T.Murphy/Herb/Missi
Elf/Braun/Strawther/Peyton/Karlo
Jose/Boston/Reeves/Brooks/2nd round big

If we get a game changer in the draft this year, i think thats a lot of fun. But i understand i get upset just seeing Kuzma's name too

Murray just signed a 4 yr 207mil deal that kicks in next year. I’d rather keep Zion before paying Murray that contract.

They’re not going to be a bottom lottery team if Giannis is still there. More likely in the middle or playin. I just hope he demands a trade quick which benefits the Pelicans.

I mean they are a bottom lottery team now.

Past that, he will want a contender and we aren’t there with a ton of money in Murray sidelined due to an Achilles tear.

It would be too confusing to have two guys named Murray and a guy named Murphy on the same team.

They wont know who the guard unless they say "you take the tall Mur, i'll take point Mur, and you guard the shooty Mur " and they'll still get it wrong. " AYYY NOT PHYYY" etc

I find it hard to believe that Giannis isn't traded sometime between now and next offseason

I would have to agree. It is time to rebuild. I question whether Dame will play again. Might as well get what they can for Giannis. Makes our swaps in 2026 and 2027 look a little better.

Also makes us a prime candidate to be a part of this major trade by giving them the picks back.

Torn Achilles for Dame confirmed, that sucks. At this stage of his career, be really tough to come back at any decent level of play.

Is a swap even good for us with how terrible we are? We’d be looking good if we were a playoff team and could swap into the top 10. But we are likely just going to swap top picks lol.

He's too undersized to be a sg. Sucks for him because he's so fun to watch, just as a pure scorer.

He is what Trae young wishes he was

Well we wouldn't be terrible if we had Giannis.

I mean we were CJ/ Zion not sitting the rest of the season away from getting around 7th.. And that's not including injuries.

We are easily a playoff team healthy with a vet center and our top draft pick

Are we really comparing our healthy team next year to MIL without Lopez/ Dame/ Portis?
And that's not including a Giannis exit.... If Giannis/ Lopez leave and Dame is out then that's legit the worst team in the NBA.

And before you say "well if healthy blah blah blah" just know you could make that same damn argument if we traded for Jokic/ SGA so its a moot point honestly.

Agreed. We aren’t a bottom lottery team if we are somewhat healthy. Plus we be adding a lotto player. I won’t be surprised if Bryson finds another late gem either

Missi
Williamson
Murphy
Jones
CJ (Dejounte)

Is a solid starting lineup. Our bench isn’t bad either

Alvarado
Boston
Reeves
Olynyk
Matkovic

That's a bottom 5 bench in the league.
