You can keep Gordon and that Minny pick and "make" your own big 3

not really. and they can't afford to do that and keep jordan. that means they lose griffin

they're securing LAC as a desirable location for blake griffin to play long-term

when you have 2 dunkers like jordan/griffin and cp3 running the show, all you need is to sprinkle a few shooters around and you'll have the most exciting team in the NBA AND a playoff team

They better do this trade fast, some of the rumors I saw last night made it sounds like the Clippers were considering letting Jordan go in a S&T to the Warriors. CP3 may change his mind if the Clippers cheap out and his center goes from Jordan to Biedrins.

was this assuming they got cp3?

i figured a big reason why the clips wanted to do this deal now was to sign jordan (with kaman/gordon coming off the books)

Anyone else think Stern will always ask for more until the other team always drops out?

Question - Can the Hornets grab Jordan for Oak if the Clip Show matches?

I'm not quite sure how RFAs work when it comes to matching a full offer sheet as opposed to a qualifying offer.

it sounds like he may be doing that by insisting that bledsoe is included

seriously, bledsoe didn't look THAT great last year. not a good enough prospect to care about

Wouldn't put it past him.

If that happens, Dell and Monty may as well trot out a team composed of DL players and say "This is what Stern left me with."

All indications are that this draft will be just as talented at the top as 2003.

2003 draft produced Lebron, Melo, Wade, Bosh in the top 6.

If the Hornets hit 2 for 2 in the lottery on superstars like that, we will be set-up great in the long term.

BUT, guys like Darko, Kaman, and Hinrich were selected at the top of that draft too.

All I saw is that there was talk between the Clippers and Warriors about a deal involving Klay Thompson and others. Now it's possible it would be a side deal to add a shooter to the mix with Gordon leaving but they acted like it might be tied to exploring a Jordan S&T which presumably would mean Biedrins coming back.

son. i am excite.

i said that a few days ago too though..

totally agree with the "better to suck than barely make playoffs" sentiment. if we get two top 10 picks, Gordon and role players, we're back! fingers crossed.

i just don't see them doing that deal if this trade going through...perhaps they're covering their bases if stern rejects this deal (so they're not left scrambling like houston was)

if Gordon isnt in the deal, I kind of hope Stern does reject this one as well

although, I dont know what else we can get for CP3 either going forward....

I'm not too worried. Sterling's an old school owner, Stern has made him lots of money and probably knows where his skeletons are buried.

if this clips deal falls through, then we'll have to wait until later in the season to dump him to a team looking for a half season rental/playoff dynamite

Minnesota pick, bledsoe, amimu, kamans contract is better than Houston deal. 2 lottery picks in a loaded draft over old players who have hit their ceilings.

If its Gordon and the pick, it will be a very merry xmas

this Clips deal just makes me wonder yet again what was wrong with the Laker deal?

It was obviously better from a "product on the court" standpoint for the Hornets...seems like the Clip deal even WITH Gordon would not make us as good as with Scola, KMart, Odom, etc.
