Vincent Goodwill: David Stern is making a traveshamockery out this process. Is it time for him to go?
frick yes it is
I think that the NBAPA will make a hard play for that if no CP3 deal is done by the end of today.
After Stern killed the Lakers trade on Friday, the NBAPA threatened suit if there were no comparable trade by Monday.

I just don't get it really.
I don't either. I can see Stern using Paul as an example of how to deal with your star player that wants out, but blowing up decent trades for the Hornets only to have Paul walk to the Clippers, Mavs or Nets next season doesn't solve anything.

By the end of the day.
CP will be on the opening day roster, book it. (Only way for me to stay sane is to be a pessimist at this point)

Why is everyone assuming Stern will veto this trade?

Have you seen what has happened the past few days? Plus I'm tired of being let down. So now I'm just having low expectations

Because he is apparently asking for Kaman, Bledsoe, Aminu, Gordon, the T-Wolves' 1st, AND an additional pick.

it isn't that he would veto the trade but he is simply asking teams for more than they are willing to give up

Gordon is in the deal. and if he isn't stern will reject it. The question now is, will Stern reject it with Gordon in the deal.

That's borderline unfair to the Clippers considering it is no guarantee that Paul resigns. Would be a great trade for NOLA, would hate if this doesn't get done.

it won't don't get too excited

Because if the latest rumor is true then we already got what all we could realistically ask for out of the trade and he is pushing for more just like the with the Lakers, which leads one to assume he's hoping they back away.
Keep in mind that Stern has many agendas he's trying to balance. They supposedly have buyers on the hook for the franchise already, so he may not actually care about our roster as much as he cares about trying to break CAA, the powerhouse agency that is behind so many of these stars trying to leave for greener pastures.
