LeBron will probably try to either buy a team next or be overtly the frontman of Klutch by then, kind of like Jordan moving into management with Washington before buying the Charlotte

Klutch, yes probably. But, at that point he wouldn't have any reason to necessarily route players to specific teams, as he would no longer be playing. I do wonder if that would fly, or if the league would look at it as a conflict of interest if his son is in the league at that time, though.

He's not buying a team any time soon. That Jordan deal was absurd, he only had to come out of pocket 30 mil. The value of teams has gone up greatly since that deal happened.

Lebron will be an owner within 10 years of retiring. He has stated this as a goal of his. He also has the cash and investors to make it happen.

Wanting to buy the team and having the money is one thing.

Having the opportunity is another.

There’s only 30 as of now and maybe one or two goes on the market every few years.

Why can’t they do both, Donald sterling?

13 NBA teams have changed ownership in the past decade.

So 1.3 franchises every year. And people are bidding big cash on those when they come available.

And depending on the franchise in question, they may restrict bidders to people who intend to keep the team in place.

You also need votes from existing owners and at this rate LBJ will have pissed off over 50% by the time he wants to buy in.
