I wholeheartedly agree. he's not the problem like Russ is, I don't think Russ is the key problem with that team from Los Angeles either, just the main scapegoat of many.

But I will say that it's still a sign that the Mavs aren't taking accountability but making excuses. Great sign for the pels either way, that arrogance can be abused in the later parts of the year.

I think it's more of the league's denial of the Pels putting all of the league on notice with this win. It's a solid advantage for the team.

Luka is that good, but they didn't play down to our level. Woods is full of shite in that statement.

They had three double-digit players: Doncic 37 pts, Dinwiddie 24pts, and Wood 23pts.

We had eight guys with double-digit points. To say they played down to their competition is disrespectful because our team rose to the occasion with the stat spread. The Mavs guards didn't use their pieces and it showed against the Pels stat line. They didn't learn what they needed to against the Suns last year.

While I agree with you, my opinion on Woods's statement is still the same. Their delusion only favors us. Pels stacked, the league in denial, dey fukkkkkd.

I mean its great bulletin board material for us for sure, as it is objectively talking down about our team, I agree, and in particular the ones with the biggest chips on their shoulder, so bring it on. But from their perspective Wood is saying "We played like shite and should have won this game"

Though like I said, I think Luka papers over a ho-hum roster that wouldn't win 30 games without him. If Luka misses any significant time they could be a team that has a suprise tumble from where people placed expectations.
