You'll be ok, if we got Curry we wouldn't have been bad enough to get Unibrow.

Meh, I think the Warriors deal will get done. For Curry plus whatever else.

Without Curry there would be no talks...we sure as hell aint taking monte Ellis off their hands. How would they expect to keep CP and Curry on the roster anyway? Sounds like posturing to me.

But that conversation you just hypothesized would not be described by multiple outlets as one of the leading deals. Golden State has no interest in being tied to these talks if they aren't serious, because if they don't get Paul it bruises Curry's ego.

I guess I should rephrase and say there wouldn't be serious talks like it sounds like there has been without at least some mention of Curry.

GS is trying to lowball us out, Im confident we'll win out in the end. I don't think Demps will settle for a shitty deal

Multiple reports have come out that Curry, Thompson and Udoh were straight up offered. Way too much smoke.

This is posturing, misinformation, or trying to cover their arse in case they can't pull off the deal.

If the talks were as small as that, GS wouldn't even be mentioned on ESPN.

If we can't get a deal done, let's just Marcus Banks him and tank.

In other news, the Magic's CEO apparently drunk dialed Dwight Howard.

and then cp3 comes out and says he wants to go to the clips, not the warrior

and then the warriors say steph isn't currently offered

which means, he is lukewarm about re-signing right now, so curry is off the table

I'm going with door #3.

This has to be CYA in case the Clip Show wins the CP3 bidding.

A deal with Monta Ellis instead of CP3 works in the trade machine, but they wouldn't be considered players in the trade talks if that was all they were offering.

I wish Chris Paul would just shut the frick up. Every single day he comes out and tells us what he would and wouldn't do. He shouldn't have a say.

Agreed.

I don't have problems with moving CP3, but this passive-aggressive bullshite is pissing me off.

Exactly, he's still under contract. He has no say in the deal

Yea, he's making this a whole lot more difficult than it should be.

Talked to a couple sources about this Steph Curry for Chris Paul stuff. From what I’m being told, this was always a calculated reach. New Orleans expressed interest in trading CP3 to the Warriors, so Golden State engaged. The expectation wasn’t that anything would get done because Paul wouldn’t sign long term.

However, there may be a circumstance in which the Warriors would take CP3 on a rental … if New Orleans takes Monta Ellis.

One of the sources said Golden State is trying to get the Hornets to take Monta and pieces for CP3 instead of Curry. Not only can Curry play shooting guard because of his stroke, but he clearly has the most value and may help the Warriors make a serious play for Dwight Howard. Chandler and Curry for Dwight may sound appealing to Orlando come February. Getting Howard would be the Warriors’ best chance of convincing CP3 to sign long term.

As one can expect, New Orleans isn’t hot after Monta. But with the Clippers’ offer not including DeAndre Jordan or Eric Gordon, Monta and a few young pieces might be their best offer.

He says he prefers the Clippers. Big difference. I he prefers the Lakers to the Clippers and he prefers the Knicks to the Lakers. He'll still go to any of them.
