Im pretty sure tanking isnt an option. Demps wants to win now.

Of course it's not an option for the front office. Demps' job is to put together a team and win now. Any GM who has the mindset to tank doesn't deserve a job. But as a fan, I would like 2 lottery picks to rebuild around.

i'll say this...magic johnson wasn't a sharpshooter

but, he was no rondo

Magic is an anomaly. He was a second PF with SF range and great handles to go along with unprecedented court vision. Rondo is a biggish second shooting guard with good handles, decent court vision, and PF range.

dont want a 2 guard, remember just IMO
i think they are a dime a dozen. rondos arent, 2nd in assist last year, and gets in passing lanes and starts runs.

Yeah i think Demps knows how this story goes.

The GM/Head Coach in place tear it down and rebuild it through 2 or 3 bad years then are fired the season before the team takes off.

GMs usually get more rope than HCs, so Monty would probably be screwed.

Okay, how about a quarter a dozen? His assist numbers are greatly inflated by playing with three stars. He is definitely a stout defender, but if you are trying to build a team around him, we are going to suck for a while. If he's more than your 3rd best player, you are in trouble.

Well, the difference here with any other rebuilding situation is that this year's draft has lots of talent. Probably the most since 03.

This just makes no sense and has to be a negotiating tactic. How have they been in the discussion for so long if they haven't been offering Curry?

Yeah thats gotta just be negotiating. Demps wouldnt have even listened to a deal centering around Thompson and Udoh.

Wtf do the Warriors want to offer if not Curry? They can get fricked with a rake if they expect us to take Ellis plus a shite sandwich.

Donald Sterling can go to hell if he wants to give us Aminu/Bledsoe for CP3.

Gordon + 1st pick from Clips
Curry + Klay Thompson from Warriors

Posturing, possibly even misinformation put out by other teams. We wouldn't even be talking to them if it wasn't Curry. If anything, I guess they would be reluctant to put Wright in the deal, or may not be able to sign Chandler.

We need to start leaking that the Warriors are willing to give us everything so that the Clips up the ante, and so on.

Don't believe these rumors. We wouldn't be talking to them if they weren't offering Curry.

sure we would

we can basically talk to these teams with a chance at a legit deal: clips, lakers, knicks, warriors

The way the CBA crippled extensions there will be no resigning until next year. If I know that the GMs know that. Now maybe Chandler told them no so they are getting cold feet, but if it's not that then it has to be posturing. Instead of getting into a bidding war with the Clippers they pull back.

The rumors wouldn't have had as much heat as they did. They were offering Curry, I would bet my life on it. This is posturing or misinformation.

I'm starting to get a bad feeling that we're going to get fricked.
