You really believe Rondo is better than Gordon long term?

yes, i would take a true point guard with defensive potential over a 2 guard any day.

Demps has just got to keep working on them.

I remember last year the reports were that there was "no way" NY was giving up Gallo in the Melo deal. When the pressure was on, of course they gave him up. Then at the end Denver started asking for Mozgov, and there was "no way" NY would add Mozgov. When the pressure was on...of course they gave him up.

I think Demps could get Curry or Gordon if he plays things right. Its tough for teams to walk away from getting a superstar

Demps has far more leverage to work with than Denver did, IMHO.

Denver had the Knicks pretty much bidding against themselves because Melo wouldn't give the Nets management the time of day.

Demps has the Clip Show and Warriors bidding against each other with the Celtics, Rockets, and Mavs, amongst others, waiting in the wings if the deal falls apart.

So we get Rondo, who is half the player CP is, and still have no legit 2 guard? That's puts us right back where we left off. Except worse.

Warrior deal has the potential to be really good. The Clippers could be awesome if luck goes our way with the draft picks.

The GS deal is less risky so that is what I would rather. Curry and Gordon are a wash in my book.

IMO you must believe in unicorns if you think we are going to end up better than last year.

Nobody has come close to implying that.

they didn't have 3-4 weeks to make the deal happen, though

Think of all the great PG's in the history of the league. How many of them were bad shooters? 0

There is a reason why the Celtics are so ready to let him go. He's basically the Trent Dilfer of the NBA.

Better than last year this coming season? frick no. No matter who we end up with this year, I'd say we're lottery-bound.

Better than last year in 2-3 seasons? Depends who we get for CP3. I'm more interested in having the foundation for a team that can compete in a season or two than continuing to be middling.

Not even Trent Dilfer, as Dilfer was at least considered a good teammate.

Rondo's supposed to have major attitude issues, which is why Boston is shopping him and why no one is biting on those deals.

But if we take any other deal with LAC that give us the pick, we're gonna tank for sure

Im pretty sure tanking isnt an option. Demps wants to win now. Trading Paul would leave us with 20-25 million in cap room. It seems we are going to add a 2-guard and 2 post players with the cap room. If Demps wants Jordan bad, he could actually try to sign him.

If reports are correct, Demps has been at this for a while. Stein said he asked GSW about Curry at last year's deadline. I think everybody around the league has understood for a while now whats going to happen with Paul in NOLA

Okay, so we trade Paul for the Curry package...how do we get Rondo then? There is no Rondo+Curry package. There is no Curry+Gordon package. There is is the Gordon package, the Curry package, and the Rondo turd in a box.
