Inter-office Memorandum

From: TB; ML

To: DD; MW

This memo will confirm that you will have any and all resources necessary for any free agent acquisitions or other personnel moves required to place this franchise in contention as quickly as realistically possible.

After thinking all day about this trade, I am happier today than yesterday. Although I would have preferred grabbing CJ, and trying to swing something with the Mavs to get the 13th pick, there are no guarantees. We know what we have at the 1 today, not what we think we have. Pairing him with the "cornerstone" makes sense, and having AD for the PnR game is gonna be great.

This took a while, but you guys are right, potential and actuality are two very different commodities. We have a legit top 10 PG who could be top 3 very soon. Not one prospect in this year's draft, or next year's can guarantee that.

I have mixed feelings about the trade (only b/c of the 2014 1st we give up). I never saw anything other than the next Pervis Ellison in Noel.

I'm mixed too, but its gonna be nice to watch what happens.

We are very close to a playoff team and with a 3, we are legit.

Wish more would think like this.

Having a center with high potential and a top 10 pick in a supposedly stacked, although very top heavy currently, draft both sound good in theory, but there is no way of knowing how good Noel will be or how good the players at our position to pick next year will be. I personally think Noel will bust. He's got a tiny frame so I don't think he ever bulks up to be able to consistently start at the 5. He may be a good bench defender but that's as good as I think he gets.

We get a bonafide star, which is what this team was missing. There's no way we could assume we'd get that in next year's draft and you're not getting that with Nerlens Noel.

Yeah, I didn't want Noel. I wasn't sold on him at all. I think CJ will explode, but like others have said, I know Jrue will be great. If the rumors about benson wanting to win now, and he is willing to exceed the cap for the right guy is true, Jrue is perfect.

Now lets figure out how to get Aldridge and a legit 3!

You're gonna wish that's true while he's dropping 20/10/5 on you in a landslide Pels victory.

Looks like collisons numbers on te hornets his rookie season after Paul got hurt. Big numbers on a bad team mean squat.

Dude, Collison is not in Holiday's league. You would know this if you actually watched NBA games.
