If I were a betting man I’d put it around 40% right now but I can see this being around 60% by summer.

I had a dream CJ convinced him to come play here and we somehow made the money work lol…

I think he winds up in Los Angeles though.

Slim at best.

Dame seems to be a rarity, which is being a small market lifer.

Even if we did get him, the CJ-Dame lineup has a lot of defensive limitations so Herb, Dyson, etc would have their work cut out for them.

Oh yeah his cap number is 44m and climbing.

Our cap space with all team options picked up next year is 157m

Even if we sent out JV / Dyson / Garrett. That’s only 25m

I have high hopes of the Pels eventually being a very serious contender. If they have CJ AND Dame BOTH on their team...you can pretty much forget about being anything but a middle of the pack basically crap team.

Portland (South Branch)...if this is what we are content on becoming (with our current potential)...well, we deserve what we get.

PS: Short version...I want nothing to do with Dame...or his wrist watch.

You'd have to send CJ out for sure. Not sure how you make it work otherwise.

And probably in a way where he isn't slighted, so it would have to be to a contender with assets flipped to Portland to build around Simons/Sharpe.

Lillard is almost 33, so committing to guys like that, that are undersized, even ones playing as great as Lillard still is, is a risk.

My point is that it isn’t really feasible on several levels.

We are at the point where anyone we add needs to be on rookie deals or a contract in the $10-12m range simply due to all the money owed to BI, Zion, and CJ.

Great another short player . Expensive and over 30. Exciting for fans but I’d like Pels to win 16 playoff games.

TBF, Dame/BI/Zion would be the best big three in the league.

I agree with Teke though, I just don't know how you realistically make it work without coming out the other side looking like the Nets when they gave up everything to get Harden/KD/Kyrie.

We already saw the limits of a CJ-Dame 1-2. I don't see the point in recreating that.
