I think they probably all live in Tennessee now and shitting all over themselves thinking this team is now worth over $1 billion.

Paul Mott is living under the Claiborne overpass. Serves him right for trying to move team to OKC.

Who’s really crying is Schwest. WTF didn’t a multi billionaire like him keep at least minority ownership of the team if not buy it outright? Dude was way too conservative for his own good.

Phonetically correct, but it’s Chouest. And if I recall correctly, the timing of the BP spill may have played a hand. Anything associated with offshore drilling was thrown into a period of chaos. Before then, it was assumed by most he’d eventually have the primary share of new ownership.

he could have bought it but didn’t want to pay the top dollar that stern wanted. To be fair neither did benson. Once benson changed his mind there was not an opportunity for any other minority owners...

Hahaha, I'm fricking with you mostly.

Fortunate enough to have a close relationship with him. He's president of the Prudential Center now and is doing great things with the Devils and 76ers.

Absolutely a great businessman and an even better person.

I think Chouest built a racetrack instead. Nola Motorpark. Indy series came there on year. Never came back.
