He's not as athletic as Smith from what I've seen of him.

He's one of those guys We draft for long term development.

His shot needs to be fixed. He has different release points, fades away unnecessarily, and he gets off balance easily.

He's a guy who needs to learn the eurostep as he loses speed and momentum when he changes direction.

Defensively, he's still raw. Unless Poindexter falls off the map, I don't see Brown as a big contributor in year one should we draft him.

It could be coming from his agent.

Yeah no doubt I wouldn't pick him over Hield, Dunn, or Murray.

Drafting Jaylen Brown is probably the most "Dell Demps" move that we could make in this draft. If we draft him and Hield and Murray are still on the board.......he should be fired on spot and sent back home.

I find it incredibly suspicious that the Pels are letting people know that Brown crushed his workout. They are usually tight-lipped and they let everyone know this?

Cui bono?

This time of year and specifically int this crazy off season you just never know lol.

I could 100% see the Pels leaking this purposefully to maybe goat Boston into reconsidering him after they were so high on two guys the Pels have seemingly been linked to in Murray and Hield.

Boston takes Brown(or someone trades in for him) and we get the choice of at least 2 of 3 guard prospects.

Or maybe the Pels leak this thinking they can lay the seeds for a trade if Brown falls to move back and grab a player and maybe wrangle another late first or a first next season in the expected better draft?

Its the time of year speculation isnt automatically crazy conspiracy stuff haha.

Or maybe it's "Stop calling Tim about moving up to 7 instead of trading for our 6th pick or I will draft Brown to spite you. I'm probably going to get fired anyway, you think who I pick matters?"

I think Dell has been trying to get fired for awhile now. Drafting Brown will be his ultimate move to go out with a bang and frick our franchise over for years. Benson will have no choice after this. NONE

I get that you don't like the moves that Demps has made, but to be fair drafting a raw kid over upperclassmen with NBA ready skills is not a very "Dell Demps" move at all. If we draft Brown I would be expecting a trade.

WE NEED NBA READY SKILLS! We have AD for 5 more years. Brown will probably take 4 -5 years to fully develop, and that's not even guaranteeing that he reaches his potential. We need to win NOW. Hield amd Murray can come in and contribute right away heavily. We don't have a shooting guard. We need players that CAN SHOOT. And yeah we should trade our pick. That's been working out really well for us lately.

As long as we don't shop the pick I'm fine with almost anyone. I just want to see if demps will finally learn his lesson or if he's that dumb.

I honestly never watched a game of his when he was at Cal. How good was he? Does he have the potential to be a very good player, especially for us?

He was ok but not what was expected. One of those guys that has success because of his athleticism and not a refined game. He has the potential to be the best player from this draft but he'll need solid coaching. Very athletic and has the raw tools but he has to put it all together.

He is a Michael Kidd-gilchrist clone. He can drive but can't shoot. We need people who can do BOTH.

The thing with MKG is that he also has a work ethic and passion that is up there at Buddy Hield levels.

Brown so far is admittedly a man of many passions outside of basketball.

He definitely comes off like one of those players that is going with the game because it's gonna get him paid and he sort of likes it but is never going to be the first guy in the gym or the last guy out.

For a raw prospect it's kinda why I don't 100% hate the Julian Wright comparisons despite there being the equivalent IQ of a highly functioning downs kid in the gap seperating Julian Wright and Jaylen Brown's own respective IQ's.

Nate Duncan dunc'd on podcast had an in depth scouting report yesterday for anyone interested. They had him pegged as low floor super high ceiling. Elite elite ball handling for his size.

Hield 1st, Murray if Hield is gone. I don't know why but I get major superstar vibes from Hield. Murray can also be a superstar as well. Plus we need a starting shooting guard.

He's everything you'd look for physically in a SF. Looks the part, very athletic.

He just wasn't that good in college. He couldn't hit shots, was inconsistent finishing near the rim, and was inconsistent defensively. Then there is the supposed attitude stuff.

I'm just not a fan. Give me Hield.
