Tonight, Brian Roberts put together 18 assists, but no one on this board has said they wanted him as their starter going forward. No one has said anything about roberts' court vision, but it must be great considering he had 18 assists. He must be at least a good PG right, I mean he had a season high in assists. Right? Wrong, it simply proves my point that give someone else the same amount of minutes that has a similar limited skill set and he will be the team assist leader every game. Who else will take it from him? No one else has the ball enough to do so, even though every guard on this team could do the same damn thing.

Roberts could get at least 10 if he starts every night. That is the point. Vasquez sucks at the point yet so many people on this site obsess on giving him credit for nothing

No youre wrong, you wont get 18 assists without being a decent player and having a lil court vision. Now true its only 1 game and i would want to see it consistently first before i say anything about him being the starter going forward

I was about to say the same thing... I feel like Roberts is getting all the love in the world tonight. I think we should start him to see what he can do.

Answer me this, if he sucks so bad, why is he top 5 in assists this year. When there are plenty of other point guards who gets his minutes

If averaging 10+ assists for a season is so easy, why aren't more players doing it? Are good stats a bad thing?

If it's only because Vasquez has the ball in his hands so much, isn't that a Monty problem too?

I'll admit that. I haven't been to a game this season or even watched one on TV.

frick, I don't even know what Anthony Davis looks like. You really only need the box score. I also listen to the games on 103.3

Vasquez doesn't suck at the point. he has developed into a consistent PG in the league.

Were you at the game tonight? Did you see firsthand the court vision? He deserves credit for a great game tonight, but it was not due to court vision. It was simply a function of good shooting by his teammates. I doubt he could do it on a consistent basis. GV is not a stud distributor either, but you have to give him credit for a great season (not one game).

I don't know what you're talking about. Sure, the number is 18 because the Hornets shot well, but it still could have easily been 12 even if the Hornets were a little off. He made some sick passes that I've never seen Vasquez make

Might be a slight exaggeration, but my point was, he wasn't just getting lucky tonight. He moved the ball very well
