I would give Horford 4/60 in a heartbeat.

That deal would age like CP3's deal..

If you give him that deal you'll be paying him 20 million a year when he's 37

1-2 years, sure, but I wouldnt go more than that

He isn’t some super athletic guy. He’ll be alright. You’ll get two really good seasons out of him and start seeing the decline. He brings more to the table than just his play on the court. He’s the kind of guy you bring in to lament the culture you want to cultivate and keep. There’s a price for that. Draft a rookie center at some point to play behind him and learn. Look at it like your paying some of Horfords money to the rookie.

I am a huge Horford fan but for the money he desires, it won't work

plus I doubt he wants to enter a situation like the Pelicans. we are changing the culture for sure, but we still haven't signed major free agents in a long time

Rather Turner at his age and contract, than Horford at his age and contract...

Reportedly Boston will have 28mil+ cap space and they want a big that’s more in line with the age of their young guys Brown and Tatum. It’s also reported they have interest in Randle now.

Theoretically we could do a double sign and trade with Randle for Hortford. Their 4 year contracts will probably be around the same amount.

It would be crazy for Boston to tie themselves down to a 4 year deal at his age. Better for them to go young with all of their assets the next two years. They are also loaded with money to sign players on their current timeline. Looks to me like Ainge is doing what he should right now. He struck out with a Kyrie and AD but you keep moving forward.

Well of course I much rather Turner. But if he’s not available, I’d love to get a guy like Horford, trade down with ATL and draft Hayes to learn from Horford. You can look at it like your paying the two of them a total of $20m for the next 4 years.

Hortford would be a great mentor and influence on Zion as well. He’s the kind of dude you want Zion hanging around as much as possible.

quote:

He just turned down $30M for a year.

Where did you see that? Thats hard to believe.

He has the option. 30 million. Last year of deal.

He said no to that deal.

Boston can still negotiate.

Ainge is going to earn his rep. Right now.

Can’t believe people wouldn’t want Horford.

He’s one of my dream gets for this roster. He is the PERFECT center for this offense.

Regarded as one of the nicest guys too in the NBA, would be an amazing get

He’s only got maybe two good years left. Not worth the price tag to us, who are prolly two years from building what we want

He’s too old for us.

Pels are going younger and faster....Horford isn’t ideal in either category....I believe PJ Washington or Gaffney would eventually present themselves as a better fit with experience and development.
