Shel thinks anyone disagreeing with him means they’re having a meltdown, I think I understand why you’re single. All I’m saying it’s silly to think we completely disregarded Barrego’s offense because of BI. If you consider that melting then you need professional help.
Still waiting for you to post your source. Last time you sent a secret email to another poster then melted like a snowflake in summer when I asked you to post the email. All this because I don’t think we completely abandoned Barrego’s offense, even though I agree that BI was a problem this year.
I think the comment I use with you is “a child’s mind trapped in an adults body”. Thank you for again proving me correct. Bringing up an argument from months ago means I must’ve done something that bothered you, considering you’re still thinking about.

Again, Zion was referring to the coaching staff, not BI during that press conference. When he said he’s taking a back seat and trying to fit it, he’s basically complaining that he doesn’t like how WG and Barrego were using him in the offense. Nowhere in that press conference was he trying to say anything about BI shooting too many middys and not enough threes.
And yes, Zion making those comments publicly after game 9 instead of privately is very unprofessional and out of line.
Can you respond without melting?

I was one of those that wanted Willie fired mid-season and promote Borrego. It would have been perfect to see how the team responded under him and he would either have a multi-year position now or an entirely new staff would be in the works. This was, of course, before it was announced Willie had already been extended. To his credit, Willie has gotten the most out of this team defensively, but offense wins championships, and he sucks at coaching that.

Nor do you but you’re insinuating there are better assistants than him. How can you think there are better assistants who are attainable like Borrego or better- when you don’t know yourself either? Yes- I didn’t think Borrego would come here- I clearly stated that in my post- but guess what he might be gone after one year.
My so called “strawman take” is in response to your straw man post about Borrego - do you have a tiered list of assistants better than Borrego? I responded in the same manner but you been on the Borrego is overrated train before the season even started so its not surprising. Any pro Borrego post is just ammunition for you to post back to say hes overated or we can do better.

He was fired as a head coach not as an assistant. What other former head coaches have been on Green’s staff? In fact name any other assistant on Green’s staff in his tenure that would be a viable head coach candidate?
