Ahem...

Yes Sampson was very good too. No one denies that.

Rockets won the series fairly easily, four games to one, shocking the sports world and landing Olajuwon on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Olajuwon scored 75 points in victories in games three and four, and after the series Lakers coach Pat Riley remarked "We tried everything. We put four bodies on him. We helped from different angles. He's just a great player.

Bill Simmons Absolute legend.

Miss his podcasts and shite so much. Wish he could do his team by team NBA previews - ESPN ruined them last season and this season as well.

Sampson was a star. The most heralded college player since Walton, when he came into the league. A first overall pick that averaged 21/11 as soon as he stepped onto the court. He was the star of the team and at least a co-star with Olajuwon. They looked to be unstoppable for the next decade, until Sampson's body gave out on him. There is a train of thought that pairing them together is what ruined Sampson, by playing him somewhat out of position.

That raises one of the greatest "what ifs" in NBA history. One that no Rocket fan would ever admit. But many, at the time, believed the Rockets should have not drafted Olajuwon. Since they already had Sampson, many felt they should have taken a certain guard out of North Carolina that ended up slipping to number 3. If they would have taken Jordan instead and Sampson never got hurt, how many championships do they end up with? The West was very weak in the 80's (the Lakers cake walked to the finals every year). Olajuwon would have ended up with Drexler in Portland, restarting Phi Slamma Jamma. Chicago might take Barkley or they just fall into nothingness. It totally changes NBA history though. But no Rocket fan will admit they would have been better off..

Dude, you really do frick up half the threads on this board. It's also the other posters' (including myself) fault, I guess, for paying any attention to you. But, honestly, it's not even a little clever or funny anymore.

If you truly were interested in a basketball discussion, you wouldn't be constantly dropping in on a Pelicans board to shite on any discussion about AD (or the team itself) and to pimp for Harden (or the Rockets). It's just childish and tiresome. It's a long term troll that clutters the site.

Idk bro I got a couple texts that I was being mentioned multiple times in a thread I think that calls for an appearance, no?

If you had to choose between the 2 following pathetic scenarios boom, which would you choose:

- Pathetic friends keeps an eye out for your name on a not-so-frequented message board and alerts you any time the Rockets or Boom are mentioned, causing you to come flying in here throwing a temper tantrum

- Pathetic boom lurks Pelicans talk all day and makes up a ridiculous lie about friend texting him to make it seem like he doesn't lurk this board all day hoping his name gets mentioned?

Cause it's one of the two.

I was mentioned 3 times(leading me to be alerted of thread) before I posted. When people call me out of course I'm gonna come defend myself and chances are you won't like my opinion. Idk Bro maybe you should just skim over my posts if they really bother you I know I have quite a few people who enjoy reading my posts here.

I dont think you have any idea how many people read this site. There are always multiple times more unregistered users than users and if you're a guy like me that lots of people know who you are IRL then well let me just say there's a good chance that someone I know is looking at this site most of the time during the daytime.

It's ok brother I know there are a lot of readers that appreciate what I do here and I'm sure there are others who have an appreciation for what you do too. I assume most people don't like the 'circle jerk you can only post good things about the Pelicans' atmosphere here but unfortunately the ones who do like it that way are the most vocal.

So true. I personally enjoy a good spirited argument and feel as if many posters just dismiss anything you say regardless of the facts you bring to the table. It juices up the board and people need to quit getting their panties all in a wad over anyone with a different opinion.

Bro, someone posted a long, detailed post on EG's season outlook and your response was

a few threes and a season ending knee injury
