We all get caught up in the role players and tinkering here and there but at the end of the day these are the two that will or won’t bring us a title.

It’s not going to be as easy as just getting them both healthy either.

It’s going to be a process of learning g to play off one another.

I hope Willie has a good plan and we do t see early last season Boston Celtics of Tatum and Brown taking turns on offense.

What’s the boards opinions on the best way to utilize them together?

I know BI didn’t love Point Zion a few years ago but that’s clearly the way we have to go.

Definitely agree, and I'm fully confident we'll figure it out.

What we've seen from Zion, it is now painfully clear that Zion should not change a single thing, and now everyone else around him needs to adapt.

Zion is our #1 guy, our best player, our main closer. Everyone else needs reps together to all figure out their roles and playing with Zion, as we don't want Zion doing any less than what he has been or changing his game in any way, shape or form due to other players. That won't maximize how good we can be, the opposite will.

You saw the glimpse against the Bulls when it was Zion and Ingram trading off in the 4th to get us that w. A pnr with Zion and Ingram is going to lead to so many 14 ft looks for Ingram. It's a layup. And the second Ingram creates a seam for zion bam bitch layup/dunk on that arse

Simple answer is really well. Probably not when B.I. first comes back because I think you have even more moving pieces since he's been out with certain guys gaining more minutes. But I can easily see them being a straight up sports car after about 5-6 games of B.I. being back.

The argument that the might actually be worse with him is an absolutely insane take to me. I love me some Naji and Herb, but imagine those wide open looks Naji and Herb get being shots that get kicked out to B.I. Sheeeeeit.

They'll be fine together, Coach Green will keep emphasizing ball and player movement. Players and the ball move and gravitates to the hot hand without becoming predictable. That's how you maximize team effectiveness that has an abundance of talent.

If BI can get back his 3 form, he would be a nice option for some overlap with Zion. Can you imagine the spacing with Trigga on one corner and BI in the other corner?

He's shooting 46.7% from 3 for the season.

Brooklyn and Charlotte game to start the season was a beautiful example. I don't see this being a problem some are claiming it to be. The players will make the right play and defer when needed.

There's already been games where both guys are deferring to each other when one is hot. They both want to win first and foremost and will do what's needed to win.

As some have stated, BI will have to be the one to adjust. There have been multiple people who have reported he didn’t love “point Zion”. I personally think this was a big reason the team went above and beyond at the beginning of the season to make it seem like this was BI’s team. He was the one front and center on the large wall photo in the facility, he got announced last in starting lineups, Willie ran almost zero offense with Zion as the primary ball handler.

As shel already stated, that false pretense is gone now. This is Zion’s team, which is great for us, because BI can absolutely be the second best player on a contender. Willie and staff will have to meld the two together better than SVG did. I have full faith that he can.

That's what I mean. The dude hasn't had game shots in like over a month.

I tend to agree. I think Willie's strength is communicating and creating a great team culture that players want to be a part of. He's still learning in a lot of other areas but he's already a pro at that. There will be growing pains and bumps in the road, but that's where Willie's strengths will have to come to the forefront.

Brandon was asked about this yesterday and said with a sheepish grin, "I'm not gonna 'fit in' (aka change/adjust his game to play second-fiddle to Zion)..they are still gonna have to give me the ball."

He went on to say there are things he's picked while watching from the bench that he can do to make his "teammates better, like ways of playing off the basketball, ways in defending the basketball, using different techniques to simplify things, using my voice or my IQ to communicate to try to make things easier, and be the best player I can be."

Can you provide a link to that full quote?

He's clearly jokingly saying that. The serious answer to that question is after poking fun at the question.

BI, Zion & Trey will be in a triangle off one side of the floor. No more walls for Zion
