LINK
Link is to a podcast posted on Reddit. It’s being reported that BI was so upset about not playing late that he was pouting on the sideline and stormed out the building. Apparently Willie knew this would piss him off but didn’t care. Maybe he’ll get traded after all. I think this team needed some conflict to get to the next level, and it’s pretty much 100% confirmed that BI, Zion and CJ won’t work together now.

I didn't see anything from BI on the bench so this sounds like speculation, but if true...

During the final minute, our entire bench was standing, with the exception of BI.

Yeah if we pay BI 45 a year, we are screwed. We have a perfect replacement with Murphy

And all he had to do was play the game the right way, shoot 3s and attack the rim, both of which he's good at. Really lame situation.

Better replacement especially next to Zion. I’ve hated BI for two years. His game is not what we need. I’ll be happy when him and Willlie are gone

I didn’t realize somehow else had posted the same thing.

You can’t have a bad attitude and also be a bad fit. At most you get one of those two if you’re supremely talented, but nobody gets both.

It’s sad to see because I felt like BI was the was the best player we’ve ever had that seemed like he enjoyed Nola and wanted to stay here. Seems like he was only like that because he thought he everything revolved around him.

Only good news is it’s clear for Griff that we have to make some trades and the current roster won’t work.

Maybe its a good thing. We knew Griff wouldn’t trade him. But now he may not sign the extension and demand a trade. Maybe Willie did us a favor here.

The ball sticks with him in the game ....plays iso ball and takes the most difficult shots, I know they've tried to get him to shoot more 3s and drive more, it's just not working out with him and how the staff wants him to play

Granted, I never expected this side of BI but it's nice to see the % of posters who have come around, considering when I was saying we need to trade BI a year ago and even just a couple of months ago, the % of posters who would yell and call me every name imaginable was pretty sizable.

Looks like those days on Pels Talk are thankfully over.

He doesn’t have a bad attitude and he should have been pissed.

To be fair I wanted BI traded and still called you every name imaginable lol

Man I really miss preseason pels basketball- when we could argue whether games mattered or not instead of this mess.

He sulked and stormed out. Yeah maybe Willie should have played him but his defense was subpar and offensively he was selfish and playing like shite.

We’ve been on the right side of history outside of JV. I came around on JV but Willie obviously did not. I can’t wait until this season is over. What a fricking dumpster fire.

Well the biggest difference is Zion seems to have bought into both taking care of his body AND the Pelicans organization.

The big selling point of BI was that he likes it here, and we were worried Zion was a threat to both eat himself out of the league AND demand a trade out.

Also, BI has clearly refused to buy into more efficient play. If Zion was gone, we can live with it, but with Zion, it doesn't work.

Why?

He was playing like dogshit AND outside of the system.

BI can get away with fricking up our offense if he is playing well. When he's not, he's a huge liability (and that's on him for not developing his game and playing within the system)

Willie with another master class of 4D chess. Willie has his extension and knows he and the team are doomed if BI is extended at the max.

Sorry thing is, Bi is our best playoff performer and has made it to the end of the season before. CJ's biggest issue has been his playoff performances, like last night. You can't count on him when it's all on the line. I don't blame B.I. for being upset; I'd actually be disappointed if he wasn't. It's not like we can build around Zion anyway. At this point, you have to expect him to be out by the end of the season.

Willy's got to go. At this point, everyone who is not on their rookie contract has got to go. Trade B.I., CJ, and hate to say JV. I guess you have to stick it out with Zion and play the odds. We aren't getting any better players in the short term. If he's injured, you would then get a really high draft pick without the old talent that doesn't fit.

It's regrettable tell for basketball fans everywhere that we couldn't see this team healthy and with good coaching. The chances of that happening have dwindled to almost nothing. Just like with BD Mashburn McG, Cresent City Connection, Tingly booty Brows teams, and now.
