If a deal will be made Beal is going to have to push for it to get done.

Also, don’t think it’s legit.

I don't mean you personally. Another of his Tweets says

Landon Buford

Pelicans are on top of the list of Bradley Beal's desired teams.

Beal is saying the right things and working with the FO, in effort to extract maximum value.

Beal's desired teams include the Pelicans, Mavs, Heat, & the LA teams, per a league source.

I don’t know who this guy tweeting is, but that’s exactly what he says is happening. I just hope they keep Kira.

Kira
Beal
Ingram
Zion
Adams

And the bench just needs to be competent.

Don't forget Beal is on $28,751,775 this season.

Lonzo and Bled would probably make salaries match, but Wizards would undoubtedly ask for NAW or Kira as well

True or not, the narrative on this franchise has changed dramatically if we’re even rumored as the top destination of a disgruntled star.

Looks like he does freelance stuff for Forbes among other things. He’s not a total nobody out of nowhere but also...not a guy to break news like this.

If it is true I’m honestly not sure how I feel.

Beal is unbelievable offensively.

But the package we would have to give up to get him empties out coffers completely and...are we ready for a deal like this now?

And he has one year left. That is super troubling.

I may be alone in this, but I don't even really want Beal that bad. Sure if he said he'd resign with us that would make it easier to take. But we're not contending this year or next, even with Beal. And do we really want a guy who needs 25 shots to get 30 points?

Why would he want the team he's going to to lose maximum assets?

Yep, that's been my stance for a bit now.

I get as a small market team we have to take big risks, I just don't see moving most of our draft picks for potentially 1 year of Beal as the right risk to take.

You're not. I think Beal makes the Pels better but doesn't solve the biggest problem of needing a lead guard. I've said it before, the Pels need a floor general, not a 3rd 20+ ppg scorer.

I have a lot of faith in Kira being that player, so if you can keep Kira I think it would work out. If you don't keep Kira I think you'd give up a lot of your margin for error to build a big 3 core that still needs the right role playing starters to work, instead of a big 3 core that's diverse enough to work with almost any set of role players.

I'd give up Lonzo/NAW/Hayes and 3-4 picks for Beal if he wink wink agrees to an extension. I'd like to keep JJ and Hart, but if you need to send them out as part of the deal to get the assets you need, I could live with that.

Honestly, i amn't for Beal coming at Pels (we must give the first round picks to it, especially the pick of hyped 2021 draft...)

But if Griff is a bad drafter, i accept the trade...

If/when Beal ever asks for trade, he's going to put out his list of destinations, and i'd be shocked if we were actually on it.

I also don't believe the appeal of chasing an 8th seed would do anything for Beal. He's been to the playoffs multiple times. Have to believe he'd want to go to a contender.

Thats why i'd be looking more at Lavine if I were Griffin. He's a little younger than Beal, will take less assets to get, and I think his expectations for success would actually be in line with our timeline.
