Who would you take at 3 if AD is traded to the Knicks?

I honestly don’t know enough to answer this question.

I’ll read responses and hopefully learn some shite.

Barrett was a bit of a victim of spacing at duke. He will thrive even more in the NBA IMO. With him and zion you need some real shooting tho.

RJ without a doubt. He has the potential to be an elite NBA player.

Whoever they trade AD for, it would certainly clear a ton of salary. It will be interesting to see how that plays out

Zion on a rookie contract is like Russell Wilson his first four years in Seattle. You can spend a lot of money on other needs

Just such a game changer for the franchise

Garland’s shooting is intriguing as is his feel for game. Trae young type player with flashes of Stephen curry.

Do like Barrett too tho: love his frame and ability to get to the line. Also has great feel but does get tunnel vision at times

And what a story if Barrett and Zion end up together.

they are close. Two ultra good players both coming to New Orleans and together make it easier to acclimate to NO.

this is a great time for pelicans

Garland slightly.

Shoots the lights out, above average passer, elite ball handling, can run an offense and play off ball. He is tailor made for this era's offensive style of play and compliments Jrue(who wants to be a part time facilitator and doesn't stretch the floor) and Zion(who Garland can draw defenders away from) pretty much perfectly.

RJ is a bit of a boom or bust guy despite the punditry. He has a lot of fundamental work he needs to get a grip on(his jump shite, FT's, decision-making) and players more often than not don't break through that barrier as one and done's. His advanced stats put his potential and probability of success below Tatum and bring out more questions.

If I was Griffin and had that binary choice I would go with Garland TBH.

Garland. RJ may be a great player, but I have no idea why anyone would want to pair Zion with him after what just happened at Duke. We just spent most of the year watching as RJ froze Zion out, especially at end of games.

I’m pretty sure the only reason Zion didn’t punch him in the face at Duke is because Zion is a good dude and he knew he only had to play with RJ for 1 year.

Garland has the potential to be the top offensive pg in the league, and fits in nicely with Jrue and Zion.

It's early, but my top 3 were Zion, Morant and Culver. So I'd take Culver. I know he is a touch smaller and older than Barrett. But he is more developed and I think less of a gamble. Both are small for wings, but Culver is a beast defender and was the man on a way less talented team...

I'm leaning Garland as well. I think RJ is a little safer, BUT him and Zion didn't really gel together at Duke. Their play styles don't compliment each other that well.

Where is all the Garland hype coming from? He only played 4 games and none were anything extraordinary. He wasn't a top 10 recruit. Based off his AAU tape?

In those 4 games you definitely saw the potential. There’s no doubt he’s a great shooter, good passer, and has beastly handles.
