Its a back to back game and it's in Utah where it's already hard to breathe ain't no way

Zion almost cost us that game last night with his lazy defense and sloppy offense in the 2nd quarter.

He basically won us the game last night. What the hell??!!!

His take may have been a bit exaggerated. But the main premise was spot on.

After a few solid efforts, Zion ws back to very lazy defensively last night.

I mean sure but its his almost unstoppable offense was also a major reason we won. In the end we can sit here critiquing his defense, yes which is an issue. But hes healthy and winning- which to me is the main goal.

Hes never really been healthy and consistently winning. Personally staying healthy and winning should be the main process this year. Once he accomplishes that, then we can move on to playing consistent and better defense. Again, you’re ok if we lose the game if hes exhausted from playing defense early in second and doesn’t have the strength or stamina to make the offensive plays at the end and we lose? How many would be sitting here saying we may have lost but at least the process is right. Come on man.

Yes, I'm 100% ok if we lose and our best player plays hard. Who wouldn't be ok with that?

Your opinion but I rather our team win regardless if our best player is playing hard on defense in what the 16th game of the regular season.

I don’t know. I get where you’re coming from. But this team is never consistently healthy and winning to start sacrificing wins for building a better process. There are several nba superstars that play lackadaisically on defense but still find a way to win. This organization needs to find a way to win not slowly build a process of playing hard on defense and sacrificing wins which basically prompts another coaching change.

I’m fine with Zion sitting B2B’s if it means he plays the whole season

That’s not the whole season. This not playing on b2b is chicken shite. I’m tired of this and ready for more reliable players.

Theres only 13 more back to backs- honestly out of a 82 game season not a huge deal. Frankly, if it helps him stay healthy rest of the season I’m ok with it.

I don’t think they will hold him out of every one, but playing a 3 game in 4 nights on the road they definitely will hold him out.

It sounded like against the wolves they were going to play him from the way Willie spoke, but he may have gotten a little banged up the night before so they decided it best to hold him out

This is a game we will win with or without Zion. If he keeps playing games like yesterday, we will be 100% fine with or without Zion for the 10 back to backs. His health is all that matters to this season in the grand scheme of things, I’m ok with them taking precautions. If you’re disappointed he’s missing this game, just imagine if he hurt that hamstring again and was out for months

Think about it this way, by this point last season, he was already out for 5 games due to injuries. This year, he's been healthy up to this point while sitting out 2 b2bs and 1 personal day for the birth of his kid.

People can be pissed off but it seems to be effective so far.
