Anyone else think it's strange how little SVG talks about basketball?

Seems like his priorities are overwhelming elsewhere. I mean this is how he spent his last day leading up to the draft.

I went to his twitter hoping to see some posts about the draft and the team. There's literally no talk of basketball. Can anyone post an example of a successful coach who spends this amount of time on political social media? Is he a headcoach or a twitter bluecheck?

His twitter is a liberal cesspool, as long as he keeps it there though its good to me.

In press conferences he has talked alot about the team and the X's and O's and separated basketball from his own personal political agenda, and that's all I ask for from him.

If my employees political beliefs do not affect their work product then they are none of my concern. I would prefer that if they are in a position that puts them in the public eye (which SVG is) that they keep political discourse to an absolute minimum to avoid alienating others who do not agree with their political views. I’d say the same thing if he was posting or retweeting pro-MAGA things. But that’s only a preference because at the end of the day, I’m not going to micromanage their social media usage.

I’ll wait to pass judgment on whether his twitter usage hurts his job performance until the season actually gets started. This seems like a trivial thing to get worked up over, at least at this moment

It reads like your weird uncle who overshares his thoughts on EVERYTHING on Facebook

I probably disagree with him on just about everything politically but if he doesn't take it to work with him then whatever. If I'm going to boycott everybody who's a raging progressive I'd have to give up sports (and just about all entertainment) all together. Is what it is.

Huh?

You do realize coaches do have downtime, they're not literally looking at film 24 hours a day.

He spends his time making a few tweets, which honestly you can make 10-20 tweets in about 20 minutes tops, pretty easily. Not exactly a big deal that he used 20-30 minutes of 1 random day in a way he sees fit. I'm pretty sure other coaches are spending 30 minutes away from basketball too doing whatever they like or want to do.

This

Plus it's not like many of those are even THAT controversial (I hope )

Pop and Kerr are pretty outspoken and they've got like 8 rings between them, I think we'll be fine.

SVG has about 15 or so tweets in the past 6-7 days, of which a few are retweets.

OH THE HORROR!!!

How many people do you know that post about work all over their personal social media, not including attention whores? He isn't a 20 y/o player with his friends coming to the NBA.

On top of me not really caring about the political affiliation of entertainment people, those seem like pretty mild tweets to get riled up over. Being appalled that someone stated that a person's neck should have been kneeled on longer. Feeling like people are struggling in this current situation and need help. Wondering how police officers feel about being grouped with Nazis and Confederates.

Also, it's weird to me to seek out things like this to be upset over. Don't like the content of his twitter, don't spend time on his twitter.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that if SVG was pro Trump, OP wouldn't be concerned. You actually think SVG is on twitter instead of being involved in practice or watching film?

That's your problem, then. Like I said, I thought there would be draft/team stuff on his twitter. Was shocked to see that it looked more like Michael Moore's

Buddy, you're the one starting a post about how you don't like SVG twitter, I have no problem whatsoever. Then you follow up by calling everyone a snowflake because they don't agree with you. Sounds like you're triggered because some don't share your opinion. By definition that makes you the snowflake.
