Lakers All-Star Anthony Davis re-aggravated his right Achilles tendonosis and there's some swelling, source tells ESPN. He will get an MRI on Monday. - Via Woj tweet

If he has a sprain, he can miss 2-6 weeks. If he has Achilles tendonosis, degeneration of the tendon from the inside, then he could eventually have an Achilles tear. Now if they find that there is a slight tear, then he would need surgery and miss the rest of the season.

Not saying I root for injuries, but AD was a bitch the way he left, and karma is a much bigger one.

likelihood of that is slim to none. Lebron will play 40mpg to carry that team to the playoffs if he has to.

Now doing that, getting bounced, and AD's injury become a chronic issue (or like we've seen in recent stars - wall and klay where they reinjure themselves) and 2022 looks FABULOUS.

And put two years of wear and tear on his body in the process, while increasing his own risk of injury. That's still good news for our picks.

And still hasn't thanked the fans of the Gulfcoast and the city of New Orleans...

I hope they never put his jersey on display

Lebron accidentally put him on blast saying he still gets those same little injuries in LA but he just plays through him and admitted he wouldn't play through small injuries in NO.

Never want anyone to get hurt.

However, if he is and its an achilles...

The Lakers won't be bad enough to miss the playoffs this year. BUT...if its an Achilles then AD will not be good to go for much of next year, either, and won't be back to what he was until 2022-2023 season (if ever).

And Lebron will have to play a huge amount of minutes at 36 years old to carry the Lakers. Who knows how that will take its toll at 37, 38 years old?

We won't get it this year.

But it may become something next year, or at least gain value to other teams around the league.

If I recall, Boogie had Achilles issues when he was traded to the Pels and it eventually went south on him. AD needs to be careful with this in order to not risk a serious injury.

They should really just shut him down for a few weeks.
