In 64 games at 28.8 minutes per game, Davis averaged:

13.5 PPG (#15 among PFs, #4 among rookies)

8.2 RPG (#11 among PFs, #1 among rookies)

1.8 BPG (#4 among PFs, #1 among rookies)

1.2 SPG (#3 among PFs, #1 among rookies)

51.6 FG% (#6 among PFs, #6 among rookies)

75.1 FT% (#12 among PFs, #15 among rookies)

21.7 PER (#4 among PFs, #1 among rookies)

All of these rankings were with Davis playing significantly less minutes than his competition. His per 36 minutes stats were:

16.9 PPG
10.2 RPG
2.2 BPG
1.5 SPG

...I like that it looks like he's gonna be a good FT shooter for a big man. That's valuable. Also like his high steals numbers. He should be an elite defensive player with a little more time and strength.

I didn't expect him to be this good offensively. He's better offensively in the pros than he was in college. He was all dunks and alley-oops in college (averaged 14 PPG at UK). His jumper is better than I thought, and if he develops a post game, he will be even tougher to guard.

He really is showing the early signs of an all-around great player--very good across the board stats-wise.

What are your early predictions for the Brow's 2013-14 season?

My arbitrary goal for him this season was 15/10/2 which he lived up to considering the minutes. Next season I'd hope for 19/12/2.5

i expect pretty much what those numbers show.
17/10/2
What i also expect is the ability to alter other player's shots, just by sliding into position

All i want is for him to be healthy and to play 36 minutes a night. If he does that, the #s will be there across the board.

40/25/15 with 10 blocks and 5 steals a game

They'll rename the MVP trophy the Anthony Davis Trophy

Lebron will retire knowing he's done now that a god is playing amongst men in the NBA

That's close to what I'm thinking.

...I might go closer to 18 PPG and 11 RPG

How much weight will he put on? That's the main question!

It depends who is around him next year.

Right now I think 17/9, if under 35 mpg.

I've never been good at projecting numbers. So, I'll go to aspects of his game that I expect to improve:

1.I expect him to realize that he does not have to bite on every pump fake, especially out on the perimeter against smaller players.

2.I expect him to drive more, we saw it some this season, but not enough in my opinion. Generally he has the quickness advantage against the man guarding him.

3.Lastly I expect, the jump hook we saw from him during his last 3-4 games, to become a staple of his game. He used it, sparingly, in his last few games and when he raised up, there was no hope for anyone to contest.

ya, he has great touch all around the basket, too--even showed some floaters out there....with his length, it's gonna make him impossible to guard.

There was a thread for the first game of the season guessing his stats, and I put around what i figured he'd average this season. Not far off.
