The Nets can offer a good package. I don't see any guys commanding max contracts in that list. Future flexibility.

I heard we can trade AD for a bunch a G league players and they won't be commanding max contracts either. How exciting!

I would do dlo, levert, and Allen. Some draft picks for Davis.

Dlo, Holliday, levert, Zion, Allen

That is a good starting 5 with loads of potential

I don’t want a hustle squad for an all nba player. I want some all star potential and high draft picks at the minimum, not role players...

DLO is a RFA making the deal more complicated, and they almost certainly aren’t offering him anyway.

The Nets deal has become the hipster trade return for AD

This thing has come full circle if anyone is trying to convince you this is now the best deal

So strange to me how people have talked themselves into role players/pieces to fit with Zion since we got the #1 pick. The pick shouldn't have changed anything, we still need another potential all star from the AD trade via future picks or blossoming young talent. Zion and a bunch of role players will never win anything.

Exactly, people are already saying “we have our star in Zion” we don’t need other ones... bullshite the more top talent you can get, the better. Nets don’t have it outside of Dlo who I think is a little overrated.

It is still about getting as much value you can get for a super star. the fact that we got Zion should not lessen our expectation for return.

Bill Simmons threw out a wild idea on his pod for the Nets / Pels.

The Nets sign and trade Russell to the Suns for the 6th pick. They then trade the 6th, Levert, Allen, and whatever else to the Pels for AD.

I'm not sure if Russell would want to go to the Suns and I'm not sure if the league would veto it if they think it's part of a larger AD trade. But it's an interesting thought.

Russell can just sign an offer sheet with Phoenix.
there is nothing to gain for him by helping the nets move him, and Phoenix can have Russell and the pick

this is dumb

Simmons is such an idiot. First of all, there is no way to agree to a S&T with Russell before the draft, so the 6th pick would not even be in play. What a tool.
