I hoping all the regional GSW fans who paid big money travelling to this game realize that Steph Curry and friends don't give a shite about them. Perhaps the trauma (i saw men yelling & children crying outside) will have them jumping ship over to the Pelicans fanbase.

They are all bandwagon fans anyway so it should be easy for them to switch allegiance over to a superior team.

It 100% sucks, but people need to stop acting surprised when it does happen.

Yea you paid a shite ton for tickets and yea your kid's favorite player isn't playing. Yea, it sucks. You should have factored that into your decision.

And the "problem" or lack thereof is either that person is going to buy tickets again next time GS comes to town and if they don't, someone else will.

So there is really no incentive to change the current process, people are still happily buying tickets.

One family i spoke to in line to get in said they drove four hours to attend this game - got a hotel and spent like a grand on club tickets cause the little boy loves GS esp. Steph Curry. They didn't know the team was benching everyone until they got in the line to enter and freaked the frick out. Kid was inconsolable.

Hate to say it but it’s not a bad life lesson.

In no other sport do stars have to skip games to preserve their health or is it worth it to them to increase odds of a loss. NBA definitely should have less games and perhaps over a longer season.

It happens in 2 of the 3 major American sports.

All they have to is extend the season one week further into the summer and that kills 3 or 4 B2B. Worried about competing with baseball?

Medical staff reviews schedule and has to plan 7-10 games a year for starters to rest. NBA season is too long and condensed. Fans are getting ripped off.

Season tickets holders need to file a class action against the NBA for fraud and misrepresentation.
The NBA knows the players cannot handle this schedule yet intentional condenses games. Load management is the end result. Players just "rest". It is nothing short of bait and switch.

They don’t have to do B2B at all.

Less games…
Longer season…

There is no chance they shorten the season due to the money generated so it has to be other areas considered, such as the longer season you mention. Agreed about only having home teams on B2Bs.

This is only a recent phenomenon. It's not like the stars were intentionally sitting games in the 90s. It's the front offices/coaching that seems to think this strategy is more beneficial and nothing is likely to change unless the league starts fining the organizations. The only potential I see is what has been discussed: longer season and only home teams playing B2B. There is 0 chance they remove the total # of games.

I plan on taking my son to his 1st Pels game this season, and Steph is his favorite non-Pels player. But when I saw this was the 2nd of GS back-to-back, I knew this was a distinct possibility and decided to wait for another game. As a Pels fan, I’ll take the free W and move on.

If they loved GSW that much they would have flown out to the Bay… but instead they went to the Pels game (Zion and BI and Herb are the future anyway)

Longer season isn't possible for me due to International competitions (Eurobasket, Olympic Games , World Cup etc), except if you delete Preseason and Summer League...

Less games would be cool ofc but more players in the rotation (with two-way contracts and G-League players) would help also.

For example, the Pels have 11 players in the rotation only actually (I'm not counting Temple, Hayes and Seabron cause they haven't played more than half of the games so far)
