3.5 Games separate 3-10

It may feel like we're in the gutter now, but it also won't take much of a run to pull out of it.
There are very few sellers on the market right now, and I'd guess only about half of the teams 3-12 in the West make a worthwhile trade. The Pels should be one of those and that will lead to separation.
There are 7 more games until the All Star Break. 4 of them are at home and 3 of them come after Graham and Hayes should be traded for more useful players. Hopefully between that and BI shaking more rust off you can win at least 3 of those 7 and then be ready to go on a run when Zion returns after the ASB.
This losing has been bad, but the West is bunched up enough that it can be overcome if what we are expecting to happen soon actually happens soon.

Yep. It didn't take long for us to get down here, but it also doesn't have to take long for us to climb back out of it. Ingram is struggling as he comes back, but as he starts to turn it up, we will also be winning games again.
The important thing to pay attention to is not our rank in the standings, but the record of the team in 4th. The Clippers are only 4 games above .500. We have proven capable of winning at a way above 0.500 clip with Zion healthy. Get things righted, and the standings will take care of itself.

quote:While true, I'm not sure where we are now matters much. It's where will we be when we get Zion back. At that point, it may be too late to do much of note.

Now arrange the teams using the record from 12/31-1/31.
I'll wait.
