Swap in 23
Unprotected in 24, deferrable to 25.

Well, they haven’t won a game yet so we’re in good shape as of today!

Taking all the top 10 picks

Potentially 2 more good pieces

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Orlando's pick at No. 35 for a future second-round pick and cash, sources tell ESPN.
The Lakers need cheap players. They were guaranteed to trade into the 2nd round tonight.

They need cheap players but any rookie playing with LeBron is going to be subject to a lot of abuse.
JR Smith was a veteran and that situation became a meme.

Can’t wait to draft franchise changing Victor Wembanyama on behalf of the Lakers pick swap.

Nyama… nyama… Nyama teammate anymore.

Didn't JR completely freak up that play? Like he was blind or something? Cost them the playoff game?
Posted on 6/23/22 at 2:06 pm to PUB
Probably.
But LeBron is a notorious a-hole when it comes to calling out his teammates for mistakes. Especially with rookies.
Him having a roster with Westbrook, a washout like Stanley Johnson, and a bunch of rookies and minimum vets may drive him over the edge. And he would deserve every bit of it IMHO.

The Lakers are so in the heads of Pels fans and other nba teams…
Gosh it’s so sad.
Just move on… unless the Pels play the lakers.

Don’t be an idiot…
The context of this picture and the stat lines involved…
Just shows how bad basketball IQ is these days

Gosh it’s so sad.
You were in last year's thread, saying the same crap.

Man its hard to see how much the Lakers aka LeBron is in Pelicans fans heads....
As a Pels fan the lakers have zero to do with anything I can about. They will continue to be great no matter what.... It's the Lakers/Celtics just like baseball is the Redsox/Yankees...
As a small market team, the Pelicans and especially fans should not waste any energy on big market teams like the Lakers who have multiple championships and will likely continue to win more while the small market teams are complaining...
Focus that energy on the guys that are here, focus that energy on building a better basketball culture, I think thats what gets lost in all of this in NOLA....
When I responded to it by asking:
quote:
You don't care that, if the Lakers end up with a top-10 pick in the draft, it becomes ours?
You responded:
quote:
They won't.
I think everyone knows that...
Go away, you pathetic loser troll. Go cry some more for your prehistoric LeBron, your whiny diva street-clothes Davis, and your me-first Westbrook who couldn't handle being bossed around by LeBron. Go cry some more that Rich freaking Paul runs your franchise. Go cry some more that not only will you be giving us a high pick again this coming season, but also the season after that. Cry more.

And let’s not forget we have a swap for the 23 draft and an unprotected first in our choice of 24 and 25.
And the Lakers can’t even put a starting five together with the current roster.

Look guys, a Westbank LOLakers fans came to Pels talk to cry about the future they don’t have…
Gtf outta here, and don’t forget to watch the draft tonight to see who y’all pick at 8! Oh wait

Shareef O’Neal just agreed to play in the Summer League for the Lakers.

That will get them some good PR and get Shaq back in the building some.
But, then, that will all go away when they cut him.

The Lakers need cheap players.
The Rockets have enough pieces now that they can offer to take Westbrook and not have to include Wall (Gordon, Brown, Boban, Burke and Chriss). Lakers need bodies and depth.
Rockets get off Gordon and open up roster spots for more young players. Wall and Westbrook combine for over 90M in expiring cap space. They can buy them out or make them play, to flip at the deadline.
Would the Lakers turn that down?
