We got cash back in the Lonzo deal - $1.2m I believe. Kind of washes out.

The Bulls are sending $1.2 million to the Pelicans in the Lonzo Ball deal - they got $1.1 million from the Rockets for Theis - so net $100k out in the two deals

I don't see why any fan would get it excited about receiving cash. It doesn't help the salary cap and just goes to the owner

Didn’t say I felt one way or the other. Just pointing out a fact.

Rajon Rondo has agreed to a buyout with the Grizzlies and is heading back to the Lakers.

LINK

Edit: LOL at whoever in here said that Rondo was a real asset that Memphis was getting in the Bledsoe dump.

Rajon Rondo plans to sign a one-year, $2.6M deal with the Lakers upon clearing waivers today, sources tell ESPN. He agreed to a contract buyout with Memphis on Saturday. Rondo will still make his full $7.5M salary this season between buyout and new deal.

Memphis gave Rondo almost $5 million to go away!

Was that really the plan?

LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Marc Gasol, Dwight Howard, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo were all All-Stars in 2012, the season before Anthony Davis came to the NBA.

Now they are all teammates in Los Angeles.

Edit: if there were an NBA Senior League, then those guys would definitely win the title. I'm skeptical that they can win the regular NBA title -- I don't care how much HGH they take. Depending on that many old guys to stay healthy ...

These buyouts and forced trades by all these motherfrickers that refuse to play unless it’s on 1 of 3 teams out of the 30 in the nba can go die in a fire.

It’s ruining the league tbh.

I like watching the nba, but half of these guys have no character or spine at all.

Klutch has started it's hard ball with the Sixers.

It’s like deja vu with AD. Only difference is Ben value is nowhere near AD’s when we traded him.

Very different in that Philly wanted him gone well before Simmons went public with wanting out.

Supposedly Minnesota offered Dlo, Beasley, Mcdaniels and picks. Sixers declined the offer. Morey is putting too much value in Simmons and no one is biting.

I have a feeling no one is going to offer close to a package like that again. With the news that is coming out on how much he wants to leave.

I meant more of the Klutch shenanigans trying to frick up his trade value, but you’re right both parties want a divorce.

Rich Paul supposedly wants Maxey to leave Philly also. That whatever community events Maxey was in, to cancel it.

Crazy how much of an agency has so much control on these players and how these dumbass players are following their lead.

Source: There’s a high chance that Tyrese Maxey will be a part of any Ben Simmons trade.

Rich Paul would like both of his clients out of Philadelphia.

Jason Dumas @JDumasReports
A few local Philadelphia based organizations had planned on partnering with Maxey on some community events. They were told to cancel those plans. Paul would not like Maxey to grow roots in Philly if he could be gone.

Would be a bad look if this true. Never heard of Dumas, he's from Philly but he works for some San Fran tv station and Bleacher Report.

Also, mostly unsurprisingly Ben only wants to get traded to a California team(Sacto making the cut kinda surprising)

The tweets I read said 3 Cali teams, so Sacto would be the obvious team left out.

But funny enough, they're probably the only team that would make any sense for a Simmons trade.

Warriors do, Sacto the most. LA two have nothing to send.

Agreed on LA.

I don't see how the Warriors can have Draymond and Simmons on a team together. Obviously Philly isn't taking Draymond back, and I'm not sure what avenue there would be for a 3rd team to get involved.

Man that’s really stupid considering Maxey will play 30 minutes a night if Ben is traded. Would have chance to shine on a solid team.
