Not really. It was pretty smart to use a trade that was a positive for us to make cap room.
It relied on someone taking our money, sure. But its smart to make cap space for a variety of reasons.
There were multiple things we could with it.
We just didn't.

Looking further into, Charlotte apparently wants to get Markannen by combining our Charlotte trade with our Chicago trade. This could be Griffin's chance to undo some of the imbalance in the trades he worked out.

Here is an article from a MaybeBeesMaybeHornetsDefinitelyInsects site talking about the potential offer sheet:

Yes, JV. I don't disagree. But I think JV and Hayes would could compliment each other while playing next to one another, allowing JH to play some 4. But that remains to be seen.

Woj hasn't tweeted in 16 hours.
The details and intricacy of this Memphis deal must be nearly impossible to squeeze down to a string of tweets.

30 minutes until the end of the moratorium.
Technically, no deadline until the trade is submitted, but we have to expect it will be submitted pretty quickly.
Any of our resident optimists getting nervous?

I would think they have until the very end of business day today.

Memphis is already playing in SLC Summer League I think, but is also playing in Vegas SL.
They will want Ziaire with that team for as much time as possible. First game is on the 9th, but you would imagine they have already started practicing.
We obviously will also want Murphy and Jones to get practice in.
MAYBE Memphis gives us the day, but they will want their guys with the team this weekend. And we should to, to be honest.

Something is shaking at 11.
It might just be me after I finally get up to take a piss.
But, by God, something is shaking.

I am cracking up at Shams treating Ig's free agency decision like it was Lebron James or something.

Didn’t the Lakers just push back finalizing the AD sign and trade trade because of some deadlines? I vaguely remember us wanting to get it done to get guys into summer league and they just purposely held off finishing it for a few days because it benefited them

I don't see any reason why Memphis would want to continue it.
Technically we could but only for so long before Memphis gets pissed off. Poor way to do business.

I agree, but I remember having these exact same conversations regarding us and the Lakers, and the Lakers just basically said “tough shite, what are you going to do about it.” I know we don’t exactly have that luxury, I’m just trying to remember is all
