Lets say he averages 22 a game for the rest of season and pels jump griz to get 8th seed, big Z has to be a lock for ROY. Right?

Ja has been real nice this season, but seems his production has dropped since Z came back. I don’t think there’s a direct correlation, but his games haven’t been there.

Melli has to be top 5 in the ROTY chase with his recent 3pt barrage.

He gonna average 25 by the end of the season. And yes he’s going to win the award.

If the Pels get back to .500 they would have won at a 50+ game pace with Zion in the lineup.

Garland at 5 with 14 plus but hates with now at 8? You need to rearrange it

recall that Davis did not win ROTY due to games played. I think regardless of what happens if morant plays the rest of the year he wins it

it doesn’t matter a lick

You might be right, and to some voters Zion’s availability is already a disqualification. But Zion v Ja for ROY has a few differences than that AD v Dame season. Based on advanced stats and raw numbers, Ja and Dame’s rookie seasons are pretty similar, with Ja maybe having a slightly better year. When you compare AD to Zion however, not only is Zion having a better rookie year by most advanced stats, his raw number stats are clearly better.

Ja: 17.6/3.5/6.8 on 49/34/77 29mpg
Dame: 19/3.1/6.5 on 42/36/84 38mpg

AD: 13.5/1/8.5 on 51/0/75 28mpg
Zion: 22.8/2.3/7.2 on 58/41/60 28mpg

Remember that it wasn’t just that Davis missed 20 games, he was being compared to Dame who lead the league in minutes played that year, which magnified AD’s missed time. Also remember that AD was playing on a 27 win team that went from being the worst in the WC without AD the year before, to the 2nd worst team in the WC with AD. If the Pels win 41 games this year and make the playoffs, I Don’t know how Zion doesn’t win it.
