Turner won't be starting. He'll come off the bench as the secondary playmaker. Although we saw how bad he was in that role in Portland.. I guess Atlanta liked him better than Bazemore as the secondary playmaker.

More wings than a Popeyes wingspan box.

Just b/c you don't have the ball doesn't mean your limited to sitting in the corner waiting for a pass.
Do you see how much space Steph and Klay create WITHOUT the ball in their hands running around?
It's more about putting him in a position that is more advantageous than just a simple high screen and role with a big man waiting for a switch so he can jack up a contested 3.

Chris Kirschner @ChrisKirschner

More on the Bazemore-Turner deal: The Hawks wanted to clear space on the wing to get Hunter/Reddish/Huerter more minutes. They see Turner in the backup PG role. The move also allows Bazemore to play on a contender.

I can see moving Bazemore as a solid.

But Turner is a pretty goddamn expensive backup point. Maybe they could flip him to Minny for Jeff Teague if they want him back since Teague actually IS a point.

I think Turner's role will be a Dollar Tree version of Andre Iguodala. You will see him run the offense while they run Trae and Huerter off of screens. IMO, there's quite a few parallels how Schlenk is building his roster in Atlanta with his old employer.

evan turner gets dinged because he didnt live up to his draft position or that stupid contract POR gave him. both with BOS and in POR he was a valuable contributor and a no-doubt short rotation player

we havent had too many of those here lately...
