Sounds like Dedmond is going to get $15-20m a year, which totally kills the reason everyone wants him right now.
I think 15m is probably his ceiling, I could be completely offbase on that though, as the saying goes, "it only takes one a-hole".

There is more cap space available this off season than ever before.

Demps could have signed half a dozen comparable players for $3 million or less per year.
to be fair he could have signed a used sofa and loveseat that would have been comparable to solo

His appeal is that he is cheap and effective. I don’t see him stepping up his game to be worth a big contract.
Hes been average to terrible most of his career. Got to put up numbers in a higher usage situation for a terrible team. Okafor put up better numbers when given the usage especially during the stretch when Julius was out. Paying Dedmond a huge contract wont be worth it.

rumor mill is cranking

Durant and Kyrie have reportedly met twice recently to “discuss their desire to continue their careers on the same team”
League exec also says KD is “really pissed off at the Warriors” following his Achilles injury, per @RicBucher

agreed... you can get a JaMychael Green at a fraction of the cost and he does similar things

I don’t trust Bucher at all as an “insider” in any way.
But I do believe this is certainly possible.

That seems like duh type news

Might as well overpay Brook Lopez on a two-year deal than overpay Dedmon.

The dedmon shite is funny
Like you said, go get a green, a kleber, a thom Bryant. Could even kick tires on a theiss or Luke kornet

Kleber is restricted and I’ve heard the Mavs really want him back. If they are chasing bigger fish you can put them in a bad spot with him by forcing them to make a decision quick.
Only thing with him is he’s definitely not a range shooter at all from what I know.

I been talking up Green for a few weeks now. Exactly what you want out of a backup 4.

He's a decent shooter for the position.

Jeremy Lamb is my #1 target if they arent going big fishing
Big guard who can also slot in the SF spot when they go small... 48% from the field, gets to the line at a decent clip and can get hot from 3. Also, an above average rebounder for his position. Hes a guy you let lead your 2nd unit
Just turned 27, so he can still grow with the young core.

2/30 ?
If the Dedmon market insanity is true and you want to scare off the Bucks (and the Lakers) entirely, maybe 2/34?

He’s shooting 34% on 346 attempts from 3?
Demps would go spend big money on dedmon. I think griffin will get ahead and find the next possible dedmon
Posted on 6/24/19 at 1:08 pm to Jwho77
Just to be clear, the Dedmon stuff is entirely based on me seeing pretty much every single fanbase mention him as a target they want.
That could have no basis in reality in nba circles.

Frank Kaminsky perhaps?
