Is he the guy talking about his kids nuggets and spilling his orange drink? If so he definitely makes my list.

probably true, but what a sad statement that the person who wrote "beer in my hand" is considered the best at anything musically.

It's refrencing "outlaw country" that was popular in the 70's and 80's, before pop with a twang took over. Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, etc. etc. And Eric Church is in no way shape or form similar musically or in song writing talent as those individuals.

Is this the dude that sings "Springsteen?" That songs makes me want to not like Springsteen.

Country music's all just pandering to the lowest common denominator nowadays.

They are fuggin awful. I cannot stand the singer's voice. That "oh oh stuck like glue" song is not music.

their forst two records have some good songs. after the heavy set girl left or got kicked out, their material became unlistenable.

agree. that's garbage.

jennifer nettles has a good voice. what you hear with sugarland is what the record company wants her to sound like.
a friend used to play the same clubs she did around atlanta before her sugarland days. he said she didn't sing like she does in sugarland.

i tend to believe him the woman can sing.

3. Keith Urban
4. Lady Antebellum
5. Reba

FWIW the term "country" should not even be applied to these acts

"Outlaw" is/was a term used to describe artists that fought for control and creativity of their music. Guys like Willie and Waylon fought to break away from the Nashville mold.

On the other hand, guys like Eric Church sing about chewing tobacco and Nascar, and brag about smoking weed.
