Masters of Guitar is different then favorites which many list.

Hendrix-Redefined Rock/Metal Guitar
SRV-Brought more technically complex guitar to the Blues (which I Love by the way)
Ritchie Blackmore-Unbelievable influence on solos and shredding (Van Halen/Rhodes etc..)

I would flip that list over, but you nailed all three.

I love Dickey Betts. Saw him Live twice with the Allman Bros. in the 70's. Can not copy his leads if you play guitar good, even. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Duane Allman are my other two.

I saw the ABB with Trucks and Warren over at Ole Miss about 5 years ago with my son and his girlfriend. [I'm LSU,just went to see the concert] I was the oldest person there by far. They were great and Warren is as good as anybody. His slide guitar playing was the best I've every heard live. Go see them in their last year. I guess you know they are leaving the band this year and are touring as their last year.

Hendrix, although not nearly as good a player as some of his predecessor's, was still a master. He did things with the guitar that no one had done before, had pretty good/great chops.

You mean like the stuff he stole from Buddy Guy??
