If you're sad while listening to John Denver, you should probably just kill yourself. There's really no hope for you at that point.

Here's a few that always put a pep in my step..
The Ronnettes - Be My Baby
The Crystals - Then He Kissed Me
Sheena is a Punk Rocker
Yo La Tengo - Here Comes My Baby (although the original by Cat Stevens or the Tremoloes version works just as well) Oh, the irony..
Also, a ton of those early Beach Boys songs...

Usually I grab my acoustic if I'm depressed.I usually don't feel like playing.I play a lot of depressing songs but the REM songs I play are more upbeat. It's the End of the World usually gets me going.

Cue the 40 Year Old Virgin jokes
Coldplay - Don't Let it Break Your Heart
This is also my "power" running song on the Nike app. The 0:33 second mark easily surges me out of any funk I'm in.

Afroman - Tumbleweed
Pat Green - Poetry/Wave on Wave/Who's to Say?
M83 - Midnight City
Mac Miller - Live Free
Chip Tha Ripper - Feel Good
Casey Donahew - Rocketship(Hunter S. Thompson)
A ton more, these are just the ones that immediately came to mind. Strange list, but they all make me feel good.
