I did a thread like this once, but it didn't go anywhere. It was based on a conversation I had with my brother-in-law. I think we had the following lineup.

Vocals: Bradley Delp (Boston)
Guitar: Randy Rhoads (Ozzy)
Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Drums: Stewart Copeland (The Police)

Really strange combination, but then again, The Smiths drummer Mike Joyce was sort of a punk drummer and had a pretty significant impact on their sound. So it'd be interesting to hear.

Lead guitar: Edward Van Halen
