Also Max Martin would be considered better if anyone knew about him. I don't think history is going to keep his name above Mayers though. He is an incredible pop writer. To keep that flow is truly impressive.

I think being able to write and play on multiple instruments absolutely adds to a pitch for songwriting.
Keller Williams is phenomenal multi-instrumentalist that writes pretty stupid lyrics

Yeah you gotta be well rounded from all angles IMO

mayer is a great songwriter. He's got some classic lyrics that are all-timers but I'm on cell phone right now.
Slow dancing in a burning room is best breakup song ever written tho

is this a joke?
This is white noise by now. I've made points on why history will remember him, whether he is or isn't in your opinion, as the best songwriter of the millenials generation. If you have something worthwhile to say then please do so.

He's probably all in for Chad Kroeger as GOAT

If we're only talking the super duper famous musicians (of which there is only a small handful) then I guess that's fine, but he is not even in the top 10 songwriters of his generation if you throw everyone in there.

I can't even tell if this is a troll thread or not

But just so you know....He does reserve the right to frick your gf

Hey look its #3 on the 'don't have anything meaningful to say' responses. Would you like to add something the other 2 didn't before quietly admitting that the question at hand is answered with "yes"?

I hate him because his eyes are just so dreamy
Posted on 9/25/14 at 4:59 pm to CaptainPanic
I'll say this. If he was half as famous, and twice as ugly, this board would gush over his songwriting all the fricking time. Jellyfish city
