This. Both of them were absolute wizards inside of the studio. Layering , over dubbing...they were so far ahead that in many ways the music world has not caught up...and to tell the truth they gave up.

Never could understand why Beck did not get the same amount of love that Page and Clapton did. He's really amazing...even today.

Hard to find a better guitarist at his age with such acclaim than Beck. Like a fine wine, plays better and cleaner with age. Plus there's so much soul in his playing, he conveys such emotion with every note.

Its pretty easy to understand. LZ and Clapton had much more accessible music to the average listener than Beck. I fricking love Beck, but that is the answer.
