Why are Guitar Center's guitar photos so awful lately?

Whoever decided to make all of these photos at weird angles, needs to be fired.

To me they have always been shite on used gear especially. Better get a used Silver Sky before they are gone, prices are gonna go through the roof.

Sweetwater recently changed to having their default picture being an angle view. Don’t like it.
On GC, I agree. And their used gear pictures look like they were taken in 1985.

GC’s website is generally a disaster. And on mobile, it’s even worse. If the CEO wants to get GC back in the game, the website should be a priority.

My friend had a used amp delivered from GC on Friday. The pics on the ad made it look like dog shite. He said in person it looked a lot better.
In marketing, it's supposed to be the other way around.
Or maybe it is reverse psychology.

He was on Tim Pierce's channel recently explaining how they want the in-store experience to be what separates them from [sweetwater] competitors.
What he didn't address is the fact that people will go to GC to try out all the stuff, figure out what they want, then go home and order it from Sweetwater.

He can say that, but what are they really doing to make that happen? GC stores are no different than they were 10-15 years ago. I'm sure they will say you have the experience to come in and try out instruments. But, you don't set them up. You just throw them on the wall and people come in and bang on them and then I can go try out basses, but I can't be sure if it is something I want because it isn't set up for shite. So, that made no difference at all. I would rather just order a bass online. I just bought a used bass online and it came in better set up, even after travel, than any bass you can pull off the wall at GC right now.
That CEO should be fired immediately. What a loser. I would love to see better leadership at GC because I want a good brick and mortar store to go to.
