Country music singers.

IDK about y'all but Ray Charles is an absolutely brilliant country singer, Mick Jagger sings pretty good country as well with the Stones like on Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street

My Top 5

1. Hank Sr. - Was writing clever lyrics well before most.

2. Jerry Lee Lewis - Had the rare ablilty to make any song, cover or not, his own. And always managed to inject incredible piano licks into even the slowest ballads.

3. Marty Robbins - Could sing anything from pure country to pop standards and be believable.

4. Dwight Yoakam - The son Buck and Don never had.

5. Dolly Parton - A spetacular songwriter with the voice of an angel. It's too bad she allowed herself to be viewed as a cartoon. If there's been a more talented female artist I'd like to know who.

Honorable mentions: Lefty Frizzell, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, Charlie Rich, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Jamey Johnson, Marty Stuart, Don Williams.
