In the Iowa/Nebraska/South Dakota area, Lemon Fresh Day draws the largest crowds.

The last band I was in was described as R&B space grunge. Currently doing a studio project with has the same vibe but a little more folky.

now that's a definitive sound. i'd suggest trying to work some red dirt undertones in there too.

in BR, i'll go with Janka Joe

I don’t think they’ve been a band in over 10 years

They broke up before I started gigging around BR in 2010, so yeah, at least a decade. I think Liquid Sand has performed more recently.

The Iceman Special is making waves.

Anders Osborne and Jonathon "Boogie" Long are also favorites.

Any of you guys heard of Contraflow? I think they’re out of New Orleans and they rock their asses off. They’re all 70’s and 80’s hard rock and metal. Last time I saw them their set consisted of 35 songs, all classic and all quality. The lead singer has the ability to mimic the voice of whatever frontman he’s covering and they’re super tight and nail every song.

Updated your list to add Rondo Hatton. Word on the street has it that The Circuit Breakers will be back together in the Fall.
