Quite possibly their best song. Way underrated by REM snobs.

i'm not an REM snob but 'fables of the reconstruction' was their last great album

Loved Green Day. Absolutely hated them live.

When I moved out here to CO, one of the first shows I went to was a triple-bill of Jimmy Eat World, Green Day and Blink 182. Why Green Day wasn't the headliner is a mystery to me. But anyway, Jimmy Eat World was fantastic, lot of energy, good crowd interaction, good setlist. Green Day was sorta OK. Didn't hate them but I wasn't in any big hurry to see them again anytime soon. They seemed like there was somewhere else they would've rather been. Blink was downright awful which was very surprising to me.

So so good. To think a 2 piece band could put out the sounds that they did. Jack White is absolute genius.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs were great too at one point. Although technically a 3 piece band, that chick plays no instruments.

I love their first album but there biggest one Albums were the good Apollo albums. I can sit down and listen to the albums in order though. They just released an album in October that doesnt follow the story line which is a pretty decent album!

I saw Green Day on the 21st Century Breakdown tour in New Orleans. Entirely too much audience participation on the stage. Billy Joe had small kids and teenagers on stage with him. He asked:" what's up, New Orleans?" Incessantly. The concert was still going after 2 1/2 hours and I left before it was over. Good studio band, good live band if you are a teeny bopper.

This is a question that is just to hard to answer. But if I had to make a choice I guess I would go with. Skynyrd. Just unreal the skills that band had.

Of "my life" it's Pearl Jam. Of all time is Led Zepplin.

Pearl Jam is to me what The Beatles are to a guy in his 50-60's.

Deep Purple. Essentially the same set list 3 nights running, but totally different performances.

I'm in my early 50's and prefer Pearl Jam to the Beatles. PJ to me defined the early 90's, they have some awesome songs.

...but The Fish is gaining ground.

...and the Radiators are always a close second.

Pavement

Any of those are interchangeable.

Good for you then. They do have the advantage of still playing and all making it past 40? How old was Lennon when killed?

PJ didn't break up after 10 years.

The Cure, but I also dislike most everything they did after 1989. 1979-1989, spectacular. Everything else, meh.

Others in my top10…KMFDM, Jawbox, Social Distortion.

Right now it's a tossup between LCD Soundsystem and Brazilian Girls.

And both are making a comeback now!

The Head on the Door is one of my favorite albums...however I don't listen to it to often now--it depresses me
