So do you mean like some of the artists that are respected for lyrical ability? Most street cred? Historically respected? I am confused about what you are asking

Illmatic is amazing. The storytelling, wordplay, and overall song writing is top notch for any genre. Nas and company actually says something worth saying and thinking about. Way better than the typical "I'm so awesome, and my shite doesn't stink" crap that you get so often from many rappers.

I actually think that ChinoXL has some of the most intelligent lyrics out there, but he calls so many people out that he probably has zero respect within the industry.
