Which "Hurt" version is best? Nine Inch Nails (original) or Johnny Cash?

I'd say this is a rare instance where the cover is better than the original.

Nine Inch Nails version (original)

Johnny Cash version

I like the Johnny Cash version just a little more. But the original is great too.

I really like both, but I'd give the edge to NIN. Johnny Cash's version envokes strong emotion, but I like how cold NIN's version is.

Johnny Cash made that his song in much the same way that Jimi Hendrix made "All Along The Watchtower" his.

I've gotta go with Cash

I also think that the video added to the song in a way that they rarely do. If I didn't instantly recall imagery from the video every time I heard it, the original would probably edge it out for me.
