Which band had the best run of albums?

Obviously most people are going to say The Beatles with their run from 1965-1969 with the albums: Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles (White Album), and Abbey Road.
So let's exclude The Beatles from this conversation. Other than them, what band has had the best run of consistent, quality albums?

6 in 6 years... the first 3 are my favorites, but there is no denying the other 3 either...

KInks is a nice choice.

Just because Aerosmith is my favorite band, I'm going to list one of their runs. Certainly not calling it "the best".

1994- Big Ones (which I know is a Best Of, but it sold well and had some new music on it)4 million

Although I can't even stand the sight of that pretentious twatwaddle Bono now, there was a time when U2 was awesome. There early run was incredible:

Metallica certainly put out some all-time greats from 1983-1988. All of those records still hold up beautifully.
Pretty much all of AC/DC with Bon Scott as well.
