Pure artistry I say nirvana.
But with the additional context regarding the life of Lane Staley, AIC.

Best is AIC and Nirvana
Worst was Korn. I like Korn but their music just not translate at all to acoustic

There are a few permanently etched in my memory. AIC (Nutshell with Staley in the obvious grips of addiction) STP (more drugs) and obviously Nirvana (drugs and shotguns). I started college in 91 so that seismic change in rock music was right in my formative years wheelhouse.
Ratt did a pretty cool version of Born on the Bayou. Warren Dimartini was a massively underrated guitarist.

On the other end there is the Oasis unplugged where the lead singer Liam Gallagher had a "soar throat" and couldn't sing, so the lead guitarist / brother to Liam - Noel Gallagher sang all the songs. Liam was spotted up in the Suites drinking and smoking with a good lookin blonde all over him.

Chains, bruh. Featuring a seasoned, world weary Layne Staley, may he RIP.
